Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 16, 2026
Furra LLC ("Furra," "we," "us," or "our"), a South Carolina limited liability company, provides the Furra smart pet collar (the "Collar"), the Furra mobile application (the "App"), and the furracollar.com website (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you provide:
Account information: your email address and password (passwords are stored in hashed form; we never see them in plain text).
Pet profile information: your pet's name, species, breed, birth date, weight, and other details you choose to add.
Photos and documents: pet photos and veterinary or medical records you choose to upload to the Medical Vault.
Purchase information: when you buy hardware or a subscription, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive order details and subscription status but never your full card number.
Communications: messages you send to support@furracollar.com.
Information collected automatically:
Collar data: when a Collar is paired to your account, it transmits device data to our servers, including location-related signals (such as GPS, nearby WiFi network identifiers, and cellular network information), movement and activity data, battery level, and device status. We use location-resolution services to convert these signals into an approximate location for your pet.
Device and connectivity identifiers: each Collar has a unique serial number (IMEI) and a built-in SIM card with its own identifier (ICCID). We store these to pair the Collar to your pet, to route its data to your account, to manage its cellular data plan with our connectivity provider, and to keep per-Collar billing records (see Section 4). To estimate the Collar's position, the WiFi network identifiers (and, when needed, cell-tower identifiers) it observes are sent to location-resolution services such as Apple and Google location services and the open BeaconDB database; those requests do not include your name, account, or pet.
Health and activity estimates: the activity, rest, calorie, and any heart-rate or breathing figures shown in the App are computed estimates derived from the Collar's motion sensors and your pet's profile (such as weight and breed). They are not measured medical readings, and the Collar's location is approximate (WiFi, cellular, or GPS). See Section 6 of the Terms of Service.
Phone location: with your permission, the App uses your phone's location to display your position on the map and to help you set your Home Safe Zone. You can decline or revoke this permission in your device settings.
Device and technical data: push notification tokens, app version, device type, and diagnostic information needed to operate the Services.
HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use your information to:
Provide the Services: show your pet's location, activity, and rest data; send Safe Zone, low battery, and safety alerts; operate Family Sharing.
Process payments, manage subscriptions, and fulfill hardware orders.
Provide customer support and service-related communications (for example, order confirmations, trial and subscription notices, and invoices).
Maintain safety and security, prevent fraud and abuse, and debug and improve the Services.
Comply with legal obligations.
We do NOT sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes. The App contains no third-party advertising.
HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We share information only:
With service providers who process data on our behalf and under contract: cloud database, sign-in, and file storage (Supabase, United States); hosting for the server that talks to your Collar (Vultr, United States); payment processing and sales-tax calculation (Stripe); cellular connectivity for the Collar's SIM (1NCE); location-resolution and mapping services that turn the Collar's WiFi and cellular signals into an approximate position and draw the maps in the App (Apple and Google location and map services, and the open BeaconDB database); push notification delivery (Expo); and transactional email delivery. Each provider receives only the information needed for its function and may not use it for its own purposes.
With people you choose: if you invite family members through Family Sharing, they can see your pet's profile, location, and activity data. You control these invitations and can revoke them at any time.
With open location databases: to improve location accuracy for everyone, we may contribute anonymized WiFi access-point observations (network identifiers and approximate coordinates — never your name, account, pet, or home address) to community location databases such as BeaconDB. WiFi network owners can exclude their network from all such databases by adding "_nomap" to the end of its name.
For legal reasons: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Furra, our users, or others.
In a business transfer: if Furra is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; this Policy will continue to apply to it.
DATA RETENTION
We keep your information for as long as your account is active so the App can show your pet's history, and afterwards only as described here.
Account, pet profiles, photos, and Medical Vault documents: kept until you delete them in the App or delete your account.
Collar telemetry (location history, activity, rest, and health estimates): kept while the Collar is paired to a pet on your account so the App can show historical views. Deleting a pet in the App erases that pet's history, including the telemetry of the Collar paired to it.
Billing records: Stripe, our payment processor, keeps payment, invoice, and tax records under its own retention rules and legal obligations. We keep one per-Collar billing record, described under "What happens when you delete your account" below.
Support and audit records: support correspondence, and audit logs of account or billing actions, are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and to meet our legal, tax, and fraud-prevention obligations.
Backups: our database and uploaded files are backed up nightly. Each daily backup is kept for 14 days, and one weekly backup is kept for 60 days; after that they are overwritten. Backups are stored on an access-restricted server and are used only to restore the Services after a failure, never to restore an account or pet you have deleted.
What happens when you delete your account
You can delete your account in the App under Device → Delete My Account, or by emailing support@furracollar.com from your account email. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Here is exactly what happens:
Erased immediately: your login and email address; your profile; every pet profile; pet photos; Medical Vault documents; Home Safe Zones; Family Sharing memberships and pending invitations; and the location history, activity, rest, health estimates, and alert history recorded by the Collars paired to your pets.
Your subscription is canceled: any monthly or annual plan on your account is canceled at the moment your account is deleted, and it will not renew. If you delete your account during a free trial, the trial ends and you are not charged. Note the difference from canceling in the App (Device → Subscription), which keeps your access until the end of the period you already paid for: deleting your account ends access right away, and the unused part of the current billing period is not refunded or prorated. A Monthly plan that is still inside its 12-month minimum term (see Section 3 of the Terms of Service) is ended early when you delete your account; in that case the App shows you the number of remaining months and the amount before you confirm, and that one final payment is collected as described in the Terms of Service unless it has been waived. If you ever see a charge you do not recognize after deleting your account, email support@furracollar.com.
Lifetime plans stay on the Collar's record: a Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase tied to the specific Collar it was bought for, not to your account, so it is not canceled or refunded by deleting your account. It is NOT restored automatically if you create a new account. Email support@furracollar.com (before deleting, if you can) and we will re-link the Lifetime access to your new account for the same Collar.
One per-Collar billing record is kept: for each Collar we keep a billing record identified by the Collar's serial number (IMEI), not by you. It shows the plan history of that Collar (for example, that the Collar's one free trial has been used, that a Lifetime plan was purchased for it, or the reference number and status of any final payment or waiver under the Terms of Service) together with the payment-processor reference numbers needed for refunds, disputes, and tax records. Your name, email address, account, and pet details are removed from this record when your account is deleted, and we do not use it to identify you. We keep it for fraud prevention (every Collar gets exactly one free trial, so a Collar that has already used it, including a returned or resold Collar, starts any new subscription as a paid plan), to collect any final payment that remains open, and so that a Lifetime purchase stays on record.
Records we are required to keep: Stripe keeps its own payment, invoice, and tax records as the law requires, including its record of you as a customer where an invoice remains open; we do not delete those. We may also keep limited support correspondence and audit logs of account or billing actions for legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes.
Collar-only technical records: a few operational logs (Collar self-check logs and SOS/impact event logs) are keyed to a Collar's serial number rather than to an account. Logs from a Collar you unpaired before deleting your account may remain until we purge them; email support@furracollar.com and we will delete them. Anonymized WiFi access-point observations already contributed to location databases (Section 3) cannot be recalled, because they contain no account, pet, or personal information.
Backups: copies of your deleted data may remain in our backups for up to 60 days, until those backups are overwritten as described above. They are not used to restore deleted accounts.
Deleting the App from your phone, or deleting a single pet, does not delete your account and does not cancel a subscription; use Device → Delete My Account or Device → Subscription.
SECURITY
All data is encrypted in transit. Access to production systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Account deletion: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time in the App under Device → Delete My Account, or by emailing support@furracollar.com from your account email. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. It also cancels any monthly or annual subscription on your account at that moment: your access ends right away, the remaining part of the billing period you already paid for is not refunded, and charges already made are not reversed. A Monthly plan still inside its 12-month minimum term is ended early, with the one final payment described in Section 3 of the Terms of Service, which the App shows you before you confirm. A Lifetime plan stays on the Collar's record and is re-linked by support on request. See "What happens when you delete your account" in Section 4 for exactly what is erased and the limited records that remain.
Permissions: you can revoke location, photo, and notification permissions in your device settings at any time (some features will stop working).
Marketing: we send service emails only; there is no marketing list to opt out of unless you separately subscribe to one.
Subscription: you can cancel your subscription at any time in the App under Device → Subscription, or by emailing support@furracollar.com from your account email; you never need to contact us to cancel. When you cancel this way you are not charged beyond what the Terms of Service describe for your plan: on a month-to-month or annual plan you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for and are not charged again; on a Monthly plan with a 12-month minimum term, cancelling stops the plan from renewing after the term ends, and you keep full service, with the monthly payments continuing, until then; during a free trial, cancelling means you are never charged. Deleting your account also cancels your subscription, but immediately and without a refund of the remaining period (see Section 4). Deleting a pet profile, or deleting the App from your phone, does not cancel a subscription.
U.S. STATE PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, and others), you may have the right to: (a) know what personal information we collect and how it is used; (b) access a copy of your personal information; (c) correct inaccurate information; (d) delete your information; and (e) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, email support@furracollar.com; we will verify your request via your account email and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If you ask us to delete your information, the same limited exceptions described in Section 4 apply (the per-Collar billing record, records our payment processor must keep, and backup copies for up to 60 days); we will tell you if we rely on one of them.
INTERNATIONAL USERS
Our Services are operated from the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you use the Services from outside the U.S., you consent to this transfer. Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Services, and your consent where required (for example, phone location); you additionally have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
CHILDREN
The Services are intended for users 18 and older and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last Updated" date, and for material changes we will provide additional notice in the App or by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
